Upcoming Max meetup will be online

We’re preparing a series of online talks, starting this Thursday at 6:30pm BST! This first one will be focused on Max and feature experienced users sharing their tips and tricks.

Here’s the address to join the meetup tomorrow: https://youtu.be/7chQNylsrOQ

If you would like to present at an upcoming event, do get in touch!

In today’s meetup, I’ll show some patching examples from Factormini, the leightweight version of Factorsynth. Factormini is currently free to download as a special offer which was supposed to end yesterday, but we’ve extended it by one day for the meetup, so you can download from here until tomorrow!

I was going to talk about streaming Max, but I think I’ll talk about Interactive Machine Learning instead.

FWIW, this is a very nice app for managing inter-application audio on Windows: https://www.vb-audio.com/Voicemeeter/index.htm

I use it where I would use Soundflower/Blackhole on OSX. There’s a simpler version, Virtual Audio Cable, which is also handy. It means I haven’t had to sort out JackTrip yet. That’s the other strong solution: https://ccrma.stanford.edu/software/jacktrip/windows/index.html

This is also a really interesting breakdown of how a friend of mine managed a recent Algorave stream: http://pixelist.info/collaborative-streams-using-icecast-obs-and-youtube/

OBS studio is another critical component: https://obsproject.com/ JB might be able to say more about it, after this evening.

Thanks J.B. for all the technical effort and the compereing (if that’s a word). I really enjoyed it.

Thank you Nick! Really great to have you all joining for this first online meetup.
